Advisor CRM launches Ember AI client engagement tool

Advisor CRM, the Nashville, Tennessee-based platform built exclusively for registered investment advisors, has launched a new AI-powered client engagement tool to address a common pain point.

The new tool, Ember, targets what the firm describes as one of the most persistent breakdowns in advisory practice: the gap between winning a client and collecting their information.

Ryan Borer, managing partner at Advisor CRM, said advisors at practices shine at building trust and earning client relationships in person, but struggle to stick the landing when it comes to getting information for onboarding.

"The moment they need information from that client, the experience collapses," Borer said in a Tuiesday statement announcing the tool. "They're emailing 12-page PDFs, chasing signatures, following up four times over three weeks to collect what should take two days."

Ember allows advisors to build, send, and manage branded client-facing workflows through a single secure link that works across devices. The tool handles prospect intake, new client onboarding, retirement planning checklists, event registrations, risk assessments, and ongoing client communication – all without requiring clients to create an account or remember a password.

When a client finishes an intake or planning workflow, Ember produces an individualized summary of the client's objectives, priorities, and follow-up actions. All AI-written reports are reviewed by advisors before publication.

The tool also supports video and HTML educational content embedded directly into client workflows, enterprise-grade security features, and intelligent PDF extraction for document processing.

Priced at $89 per month, Ember includes 100 AI assists, unlimited client processes and team members, AI-generated client narratives, and a branded client portal. It can function as a standalone product or alongside Advisor CRM's core platform.

Advisor CRM entered the market in November 2024. Along with Borer, who previously served as president and chief strategy officer at Fusion Capital Management in the US, the platform was co-founded by Leibel Sternbach, partner and chief technology officer, and Bruce Ferguson, a partner with 25 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions and business development. At launch, the firm positioned itself from the outset as a free, all-in-one platform for RIA firms looking to reduce operational friction without adding expensive technology overhead.

More recently in April, the company launched Beacon, a secure AI assistant embedded directly into the CRM platform. Tha was built to address concerns arising from advisors copying sensitive client data into public AI tools such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, or Claude to speed up their work, at the potential cost of privacy exposure and incomplete outputs due to generalized AI's lack of access to the full client or firm context.
