A husband-and-wife team's break from LPL marks a recruiting win for Osaic in the East Coast, while Cetera gains ground in Alabama and RBC reels in a high-net-worth team from Morgan Stanley.

Husband-and-wife practice moves to Osaic via Innovative Financial Group

Greenville, South Carolina–based The Finance Couple has left LPL Financial and joined Osaic through office of supervisory jurisdiction Innovative Financial Group, bringing $204 million in client assets.

The boutique practice, owned and led by husband-and-wife team Tim and Wynne Curran, focuses on financial planning for couples and women approaching or in retirement.

The Finance Couple positions itself around tailored conversations with both partners in a relationship. Its services include wealth management, comprehensive financial planning, retirement strategies, and tax and estate-planning guidance.

The Currans bring more than 35 years of combined experience to Osaic, joined by client services director Megan Jette.

"Our independence is what allows us to provide our clients transparent, research-based advice that is rooted in our real-world experience as a couple raising a family,” Wynne Curran said in a statement.

“Our focus has always been on comprehensive financial planning combined with common sense asset management for the betterment of our clients,” Tim Curran added.

Innovative Financial Group president and CEO Brian Heapps described the practice as a client-centric fit for the OSJ, highlighting its position in the Greenville community and focus on households navigating retirement.

Alabama team eyes $1 billion growth with Cetera’s Summit community

Near Birmingham, Alabama, Cunningham Financial Group has affiliated with Cetera through the Summit Financial Networks community, bringing a team that oversees about $200 million in assets under administration.

The group, led by financial advisor and managing partner Jonathan Cunningham, offers investment management, financial planning, and tax-aware guidance for individuals and families at varying life stages.

Cunningham works alongside advisors Brian Walsh and Josh Little, creating a multidisciplinary setup that emphasizes integrating portfolio management with planning and tax insight inside one practice. The firm’s model is built around personalized advice and the flexibility to serve clients across different wealth levels, rather than focusing on a narrow slice of the market.

Cunningham, Walsh, and Little are coming to Cetera from Ameriprise, where they stayed only six months after leaving LPL in September, according to their BrokerCheck records

Cunningham said the move was driven by a desire to stay firmly independent while plugging into a larger ecosystem of resources and growth support.

“We were looking for a partner that allows us to stay fully independent while giving us the resources and support to grow,” he said. “What stood out about Cetera and the Summit community was the balance of flexibility and hands-on support.”

The group aims to top $1 billion in assets under management within about five years through referrals and potential acquisitions of like-minded practices.

As of Dec. 31 Cetera’s reported approximately $640 billion in assets under administration and $294 billion in assets under management.

RBC Wealth Management adds $360 million Turnock Bonacci Group from Morgan Stanley

Over at the wirehouse channel, RBC Wealth Management has recruited the Turnock Bonacci Group to its Annapolis, Maryland, branch from Morgan Stanley, where the team previously oversaw nearly $360 million in client assets.

The Turnock Bonacci Group includes financial advisors Kevin Turnock and Anthony Bonacci, along with senior business associate Michael Norris and investment associate Julia Harrison. Together, they bring more than five decades of experience addressing multi-generational wealth planning, business transitions, and sophisticated portfolio strategies.

The practice emphasizes a comprehensive approach to wealth planning that leans heavily on open discussion and discovery with clients. Its advisors highlight listening, empathy, and detailed planning as key to helping families navigate what they describe as an increasingly unpredictable environment for both markets and personal finances.

Warren Bischoff, Mid-Atlantic complex director at RBC Wealth Management, welcomed the team as "a valuable addition" to the region.
