Allworth Financial has named Jeffrey Green as its new chief people officer, bringing on a veteran human resources executive to support the RIA’s national expansion and integration efforts.

Green, who most recently served as chief human resources officer at Osaic, joins Allworth after more than five years with the independent wealth management giant.

At Osaic, Green led human resources for more than 2,400 employees and supported a network of over 14,000 financial advisors. His tenure included overseeing large-scale cultural transformations, integrating multiple acquisitions, and launching people analytics and engagement initiatives that improved retention and business outcomes.

“Jeffrey’s arrival marks an important step in Allworth’s evolution,” said John Bunch, chief executive of Allworth Financial, said in a statement on Monday.

He said the firm is “at a stage where growth is about more than numbers; it’s about deepening our culture, supporting our people, and preparing for the future.”

Allworth, founded in 1993 and headquartered in Folsom, California, now manages approximately $31 billion in assets across more than 40 offices nationwide. The firm surpassed the $30 billion mark in June following its deal to acquire Salzinger Sheaff Brock and Sheaff Brock Investment Advisors in Indiana, which marked its 42nd acquisition since 2018.

Bunch added that Green’s experience “bringing teams together and building strong talent programs will ensure that as Allworth expands, our people remain connected and supported.”

Green’s career has been marked by measurable results, including double-digit gains in employee engagement, sustained top-quartile retention, and exceeding industry benchmarks for women in leadership.

He has also successfully built career pathways – a facet of talent management that's undergone a dismal decline in the RIA space, according to research released this month by DeVoe & Co. – with more than one-third of roles filled by internal applicants, and improved workforce efficiency by over 20% while enhancing service delivery.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Green joined Osaic in 2016, when it was still known as Advisor Group. He ascended up the ladder to serve as interim chief human resources officer in 2020 during the onset of the pandemic.

By September 2021, Green was promoted to a senior vice president role in charge of of total rewards, overseeing compensation, benefits, payroll, and HRIS teams, as well as leading HR M&A activity.

Last year, he was among an array of names involved in a leadership shakeup at Osaic following the departure of Jen Roche, who left her role as head of marketing to join LPL. Green was ultimately elevated to chief human resources officer in March, a position he held until his departure this month.   

In his first year at Allworth, Green is expected to prioritize elevating the employee experience, advancing talent acquisition and development programs, and ensuring smooth integration for newly acquired partner firms.

“I’m energized to join Allworth at such a pivotal moment in its growth trajectory,” Green said in the announcement. He noted that his focus will be on strengthening the employee journey, integrating new acquisition partners, and creating development pathways for future leaders.

“Success will mean growing thoughtfully while keeping Allworth’s values of results, care, and authenticity at the center,” he said.
