Adam Phillips is leaving City National Bank in Beverly Hills, Calif., where he managed nearly $700 million in client assets, to join EP Wealth Advisors. He will serve dual roles as a senior vice president and Investment Strategist. EP Wealth Advisors, an independent financial planning and investment management firm in Torrance, Calif., had more than $1.6 billion in assets under management as of the end of March 2014. “I spent approximately nine years at City National Bank in Beverly Hills and it was a great time to be there, but I saw a lot of opportunity at EP Wealth Advisors since it is a growing firm,” said Mr. Phillips. “At City National Bank I had a pretty similar role so I think that gave me a solid foundation.” Phillips is currently pursuing his MBA at University of California, Los Angeles’ Anderson School of Management. “He brings a combination of strong investment experience and working with individuals on portfolio management,” said Patrick Goshtigian, president of EP Wealth Advisors. “I think Adam is the caliber of adviser that we are actively seeking to add to our firm and help manage the growth that we’re experiencing. I believe we’ll adding additional advisers as we grow and expand.”
