Christian Thwaites steps down; Thomas H. Brownell is interim chief

Sentinel Asset Management Inc. is searching for a new chief executive. National Life Group, the parent company of the asset manager, said that Christian Thwaites has stepped down as CEO to pursue other opportunities. He joined the company in 2005. Thomas H. Brownell, chief investment officer at National Life Group, has been named interim chief executive. The majority of Sentinel's $26.4 billion in assets under management are in institutional strategies. It manages $7.3 billion across 13 mutual funds, according to Morningstar Inc.
