Beacon Pointe buys $1 billion Denver RIA
Northstar Investment Advisors is latest acquisition by Newport Beach, California-based Beacon Pointe.

Beacon Pointe Advisors, a Newport Beach, California-based registered investment adviser with $20 billion in assets under advisement, has acquired Northstar Investment Advisors, a Denver-based RIA overseeing $1 billion.

The leadership team at Northstar — Fred Taylor and Bob Van Wetter, who co-founded the firm in 1995, and Charlie Farrell — will become partners and managing directors at Beacon Pointe Advisors.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
