Captrust Financial Advisors, a Raleigh, N.C.-based registered investment adviser managing more than $9.6 billion in assets, will acquire South Texas Money Management, a San Antonio-based RIA firm managing $3.7 billion in assets. [More:MAI acquires insurance-oriented RI] South Texas Money Management (STMM) has 60 employees and operates offices in Austin, College Station, Corpus Christi, Dallas and Houston. Prior to her death in April, STMM founder and chairman Jeanie Wyatt, her family and the firm's management team chose Captrust to fulfill her succession plan, the company said in a release.
