The first week of June continues to be busy for recruitment at large broker-dealers and hybrid RIAs as Cetera, Osaic, and Ameriprise unveiled new additions in the East Coast and Midwest.
Tupelo Wealth Partners, a Harleysville, Pennsylvania-based practice just outside Philadelphia, which has joined Cetera through the firm's Summit Financial Networks community, bringing roughly $490 million in assets under advisement.
The team is led by Les Benzak, John Gallagher and Lynn Craig, three experienced advisors who collectively bring more than 75 years of experience and have worked together for over two decades.
The trio had previously made a deliberate move to Commonwealth Financial Network, drawn by its culture of experienced advisors and accessible leadership. Their plan to spend their entire careers there changed when LPL acquired Commonwealth last year.
After surveying their options, the Tupelo Wealth Partners team – which serves clients across retirement planning, tax strategy, asset protection, college savings and legacy planning – chose Summit for its specialized service model, leadership accessibility and technology infrastructure, according to Cetera.
"We didn't go looking for something close to Commonwealth, we wanted the same thing – experienced advisors, accessible leadership, specialized service, and a firm that actually knows who you are," said Benzak. "And if you can't do right by your clients, everything else is noise. We're confident we're in the right place to keep doing that."
Tom Halloran, Cetera's advisor channel leader, said the firm worked hard to demonstrate it could match the qualities that had originally attracted the team to Commonwealth.
In Hampton, New Hampshire, Neville & Associates has joined Osaic from LPL, bringing approximately $300 million in client assets.
The firm led by branch manager Rick Neville is, in the truest sense, a family enterprise. Founded by Rick's mother, Carol Neville, and previously led by his father, Harold Neville, Jr., the office today includes Rick's wife, Amy Neville; their daughter, Courtney Neville; Courtney's husband, Nick Romagnoli; and additional staff.
The firm has operated in the Hampton community and across 28 states for more than 40 years, advising multi-generational families – in some cases, four generations within a single family.
That depth of client relationship is precisely what drove the team's decision-making when choosing where to affiliate next, according to Rick Neville, who cited Osaic's "personalized partnership" and "resources and support to help us continue serving clients the way we always have."
Shannon Reid, president and head of advisor growth and engagement at Osaic, said the firm's model is built for practices like the Nevilles'.
The move is part of a broader run of recruiting momentum at Osaic that has recently included Du Lac Wealth Services, a North Carolina team that arrived from LPL Financial with around $200 million in client assets, and Eric Westall, who joined Innovative Financial Group, an office of supervisory jurisdiction at Osaic, with more than $250 million in assets.
Pattern Wealth, a private wealth advisory practice based in Wayzata, Minnesota, has joined the branch channel of Ameriprise Financial from Thrivent Investment Management with $160 million in client assets.
The team is led by Jeremy Jackson, a private wealth advisor, alongside his father, financial advisor Dave Jackson, and client service associate Erika Holland.
The move was motivated by a desire to access a broader platform, which Jeremy Jackson described as combining investment solutions, personalized advice and digital capabilities. He specifically pointed to Ameriprise's AI and technology integration as a draw, alongside the firm's national brand recognition and operational support.
"The firm's integrated platform allows us to deliver more comprehensive advice while spending more time focused on what matters most: our clients," Jackson said of Ameriprise, which reports it has attracted approximately 1,700 financial advisors over the past five years.
Pattern Wealth will be supported locally by Complex Director Adam Lukens and Regional Vice President Mitch Doren.
