LPL Financial has picked up advisors managing more than $1 billion in combined client assets after with new recruits to its broker-dealer and RIA platforms.
Alan Feutz, CFP, has joined LPL-aligned firm Genesis Wealth, having built a practice managing roughly $725 million over more than two decades at JPMorgan. Feutz, who works out of Deerfield, Illinois, outside Chicago, focuses primarily on clients approaching or already in retirement, with a practice built around retirement income planning, tax-aware strategies and multigenerational wealth transfer.
"When I meet with a new client, I want to understand the full picture, not just their finances, but what's important to them and how they want to work together," he said. "By getting to know clients on a deeper level and collaborating with the other professionals in their lives, we can build strategies that are customized to their unique goals and comfort level."
Genesis Wealth founder and managing partner Kosta Tanglis said Feutz fits the profile of advisor the firm wants to back.
"He has built his practice by putting relationships, thoughtful planning and exceptional service at the center of every client interaction,” Tanglis said. “We are excited to welcome him to Genesis Wealth and look forward to providing the resources, flexibility and collaborative environment that will help him continue delivering an outstanding experience for clients."
Separately, LPL announced that the advisors of Buell Wealth Management have moved their business to its platform, having managed approximately $370 million in client assets at Buell Securities Corporation.
The Glastonbury, Connecticut-based firm is led by chief executive Chris Berris, who has run the practice since 1997 and has more than 40 years in the industry.
