Why aren’t people joining the financial advice industry?
They don't even know this profession exists, according to Kate Healy, TD Ameritrade Institutional's director of Generation Next.

“We have such a problem attracting and retaining NextGen talent to this industry. We just did a huge research project, 2,000 advisers, students, career changers, and programme directors, to find out why aren’t people attracted to this profession and why don’t they come to it. And it turns out there are two easy things: one, they are not aware of it, they don’t even know this profession exists, two they have a misperception of it.”
