“One of the growth challenges, an exciting thing and a challenge with a lot of firms, is M&A. So, as you’re looking either at bringing on new firms and acquiring firms or being acquired yourself, is OK, we have one tech stack here and one tech stack there – how do we combine these two? And in my opinion, and our experience of working with firms, starting with the CRM is actually the most logical place to start. So if you look at the value chain of adviser technology, folks spend by far the most time in the CRM. That’s across roles – advisers, CEOs, operations leaders, administrative assistants, it’s really everyone. So when you go through M&A, starting with the CRM and figuring out where is our home for CRM going to be, where is our data going to live, and how do we set it up, that to me is the foundation, and then everything else you can build on top of that, for all the rest of your tech stack.”
