FPA picks Gjertsen as 2014 president-elect

One-year term starts in 2015 following the one-year presidency of Janet Stanzak in '14.

The Financial Planning Association is planning ahead for leadership, electing Edward W. Gjertsen II as its 2014 president-elect.

He will serve a one-year term in 2015, following the one-year presidency of Janet Stanzak in 2014. The current FPA president is Michael A. Branham, whose term will expire at the end of the year.

Mr. Gjertsen is vice president of Mack Investment Securities Inc. in Glenview, Ill., where he specializes in retirement and estate planning, and portfolio management. He began a three-year term on the FPA board in 2010.

An FPA member since 1996, Mr. Gjertsen served as president of FPA’s Illinois chapter in 2007. He is co-founder of the FPA Diversity Committee.
