Rockefeller & Co. Inc. of New York has hired Loraine B. Tsavaris, 55, as managing director. She will identify and help evaluate potential transaction opportunities in the U.S. ultrahigh-net-worth market, focus on initiatives designed to broaden the firm’s exposure nationally and work to build its wealth business.

Previously, Ms. Tsavaris spent 37 years working in New York at U.S. Trust Corp. In her most recent position there as managing director and principal of the firm’s multifamily-office group, she advised its wealthiest clients and developed its ultrahigh-net-worth business into a national platform.

Ms. Tsavaris will report directly to James S. McDonald, Rockefeller’s president and chief executive.

Saturna Capital Corp. of Bellingham, Wash., has hired Owaiz M. Dadabhoy, 38, as an investment manager who will be responsible for the marketing and sales of the Amana Funds in California, Nevada and Oregon.

Previously, he was district manager of San Francisco-based Wells Fargo Corp.’s retail-banking group in Long Beach, Calif.

Penn Mutual Life Insurance Co.in Horsham, Pa., has made several promotions and new hires in various areas of the company.

The firm hired Dennis Cuccinelli, 52, as a sales manager for the Professional Economic Growth Group, Penn Mutual’s career agency in Edison, N.J. Previously, he worked at New England Financial of Boston dealing with case design and recruitment, and specializing in business insurance and advanced sales.

Penn Mutual has hired Thomas J. Feledick, 38, as vice president of talent development. Previously, he was director of global executive and organizational development at IMS Health Inc., a Norwalk, Conn.-based pharmaceutical data, analytics and consulting provider.

The firm also has hired Cliff Gill, 53, as associate regional director for the Florida region. He spent more than 20 years at various insurance companies working in variable universal life, variable annuity and long term care insurance sales.

Penn Mutual has promoted Brian A. Trippiedi, 40, to regional annuity specialist for New Jersey. Previously, he worked as sales manager of the Professional Economic Growth Group.

And the firm has promoted David M. Wash, 44, to sales manager of Penn Mutual’s career agency in Atlanta. Previously, he was a producer who specialized in succession and estate planning.

Aberdeen Asset Management Inc. of Philadelphia has expanded its U.S. distribution team with the promotions of Joseph Mascioli and Lauren Pizzimenti, and the addition of Raymond Kern.

The firm has promoted Mr. Mascioli, 33, to regional sales director for the Southern California region. He previously worked as an internal wholesaler for the funds’ national-sales desk.

Aberdeen has promoted Ms. Pizzimenti, 33, to regional sales director for the South Florida region. Previously, she served as manager of fund marketing and business development, and was responsible for the firm’s Sovereign High Yield Investment Co. Ltd, marketing offshore emerging-markets products to Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc. of New York.

Mr. Kern, 46, joins Aberdeen as regional sales director for the Great Lakes region. Previously, he was responsible for distribution of proprietary annuities in the Great Lakes region for Axa Distributors LLC of New York.

Deloitte Financial Advisory Services LLP and Deloitte Services LP of Washington has hired Andy Ruckman, 37, as a principal in its analytic-and-forensic-technology group.

Previously, he worked at Chicago-based Navigant Consulting Inc., where he managed the discovery process for several large corporations involved in civil litigation or going through federal regulatory or internal investigations.

Pioneer Investments of Boston has hired Brian E. Stack, 52, to run its Pioneer Growth Opportunities Fund and Pioneer Growth Opportunities VCT Portfolio.

He will be responsible for running a three-person U.S. small-cap-growth team, which provides fundamental and quantitative research on companies.

Previously, Mr. Stack worked at Long Trail Investment Management LP, a Boston-based small- and mid-cap-equity-hedge-fund firm that he co-founded and where he served as portfolio manager and analyst.
