Financial Network Investment Corp. of El Segundo, Calif., has hired Matthew Kelley, 42, as vice president of business development.

Based in Cincinnati, he is responsible for building the firm’s recruiting efforts, collaborating with the team of regional directors to strengthen the recruiting process, and driving collective growth.

Previously, Mr. Kelley was director of recruiting at Ameriprise Financial Inc. of Minneapolis.

Devon Financial Partners LLC of Wayne, Pa., has hired David Forrest, 41, as a financial representative.

He is responsible for planning and protection solutions, as well as employee benefits. Mr. Forrest will focus on medical practices and professionals, business owners and their employees.

Previously, he was a producer of life, health, disability and long-term-care insurance at Kelly Insurance Agency Inc. of Trappe, Pa.

Northern Trust Corp. of Chicago has hired Jeff King, 53, as Fort Worth-Dallas region president and Jeff Conner, 51, as senior wealth strategist serving Fort Worth and West Texas.

They will help individuals and families preserve and build their wealth through asset management, estate planning, trust administration and private banking. Additionally, Mr. King and Mr. Conner will work with foundations, endowments and privately held businesses to fulfill a range of financial needs.

Previously, Mr. King was a market manager, and Mr. Conner a managing director of business development and client acquisition, both in Fort Worth, for J.P. Morgan Private Bank of New York.

Z Capital Partners LLC of Chicago has hired William J. Monagle Jr., 57, as managing director.

He is responsible for operational and accounting due diligence for portfolio companies, board representation of portfolio companies and internal infrastructure.

Previously, Mr. Monagle was a partner and senior strategist for NEPC LLC of Boston.

U.S. Bank Wealth Management, part of U.S. Bancorp of Minneapolis, has hired Terry Sandven, 54, as chief equity strategist.

He will build and lead a strategic equity team managing individual stocks not managed by third parties for client accounts of Ascent Private Capital Management.

Previously, Mr. Sandven was head of product management at Piper Jaffray Cos. of Minneapolis.

John Hancock Financial Services Inc. of Boston has named Michael Doughty, 47, executive vice president and general manager of John Hancock Insurance Co.

He is responsible for long-term-care insurance as well as developing and implementing strategies to serve the U.S. insurance market.

Previously, Mr. Doughty was executive vice president of individual insurance at parent Manulife Financial Corp. of Toronto.
