10 banks that retail customers rank highest for financial advice
Retail bank customers, battered by inflation, rising interest rates and market volatility, are looking for guidance, and banks that provide them with advice score much higher on customer satisfaction, according to a new study from J.D. Power. But only 38% of bank customers say they’ve ever gotten financial advice from their banks, and just 55% say the advice they received was effective.
J.D. Power says the banks with the most satisfied customers combine “branch-based experiences” with digital help, such as “virtual assistants and personal financial management tools.”
J.D. Power’s 2023 study is based on a survey in February and March of more than 6,500 U.S. retail bank customers who said they’d gotten any advice from their bank in the past 12 months.
