10 spot-on predictions by Jeffrey Gundlach
The date
March 2009
The details
After the S&P 500 fell more than 50% from its peak to 776, Mr. Gundlach held a conference call with investors entitled “You're too bearish” and said it wouldn't surprise him to see the S&P end the year in the 950 to 1,000 range. He got the direction of the market right, but was perhaps a bit too bearish himself. The benchmark index ended the year at 1,126.
