Best and worst investment firms? Clients weigh in
Despite an improvement in overall investor satisfaction from 2009, investor perceptions of their investment firm as being customer-driven continues to decline, according to the J.D. Power and Associates 2010 U.S. Full Service Investor Satisfaction Study
The study measures overall investor satisfaction across seven factors: investment advisor; investment performance; account information; account offerings; commissions and fees; website; and problem resolution.
Investor satisfaction with advisers is improving, up from a score of 731 in 2009 to 769 this year (on a scale of 1,000). But investors' positive sentiment regarding their investment firm continues to decrease. Overall, an increasing proportion of investors say their investment firm is driven by profits, rather than a focus on customers.
