Certifications can bring more clients, higher salaries

A recent survey found financial planners credit such credentials with boosting their client base and their salary. The survey of 758 planners was conducted between June and September 2019 by the College for Financial Planning, a unit of testing company Kaplan, which provides prep courses for designations such as the CFP.
