Investors’ levels of savings and income are generally inversely correlated with ESG interest. Clients with lower savings and incomes report more interest in ESG, while those with higher savings and incomes report less interest. There are some variations from this pattern, though. For example, about 28% of individuals with more than $5 million in savings say ESG investing is a “must have,” compared to about 18% of those with savings between $1 million and $5 million.
