Recommended book: “The Dumb Things Smart People Do With Their Money: Thirteen Ways to Right Your Financial Wrongs” (Ballentine, 2019) by Jill Schlesinger
“I recently had the opportunity to hear Jill Schlesinger, [an analyst at] CBS News, discuss her new book and she inspired me to buy it and read it thoroughly. She has a very direct, sometimes salty, but never subtle approach to some of the key financial and legal issues I discuss with my clients all the time. It was one of those books that I find myself saying I wish I had written this! Not too deep on any topic, almost like a Dragnet 'just the facts' type of presentation with Jill's own personality adding some flavor to the facts. Worth the read by advisers and their clients as it will start some good conversations.”
