The Super Bowl Indicator, identified in 1978 by sportswriter Leonard Koppett, says that if a team from the National Football Conference, like the Rams, wins the Super Bowl, stocks will rise that year. If a team from the American Football Conference wins, like the Bengals, stocks will fall that year.
