What’s new for Social Security and Medicare in 2021
High-income surcharges adjusted for inflation
In 2021, higher-income Medicare beneficiaries with modified adjusted gross income (MAGI) of $88,000 or more and married couples with MAGIs of $176,000 or more will pay additional surcharges ranging from $59.40 per month to $356.40 per month per person on top of the standard Part B premium. Medicare Part D prescription drug plan premiums are also subject to high-income surcharges.
