Finance Logix rolled out an upgrade, version 3.3, on 1 Dec. but I did not get a chance to take a look at any of the details of it until now.

With release 3.3 advisers have been provided with quite a few features and customization abilities they had been asking for.

“This release has been driven by a lot of requests from users,” said chief executive Oleg Tishkevich in a phone call.

“We have made enhancements to reports, balance sheets, cash flow,” he added.

For example there are two new reports available for displaying cash flow and client net worth and advisers can get more granular about the level of detail they want for these reports. They can also set the range, in terms of years, that they want displayed.

“Let’s say you want to look at cash flows from 2020 to 2030 you can zero in on that and highlight it,” he said.

“We can pull from DST now,” Mr. Tishkevich said referring to being able to bring in adviser-level feeds of data from DST-Vision. He explained that this allows an adviser to import all of their assets under management without their clients having to go in through the Finance Logix client portal and manually enter them.

Other enhancements include a new ‘Help’ system that uses advanced HTML programming with video tutorials embedded on the page and other rich media content.
