President and co-CEO David S. Pottruck and trusts bearing his name sold or proposed the sale of 310,000 Schwab shares in May for about $21 a share. Since then, shares have plummeted more than 20% on reports that the firm is unlikely to meet earnings projections. According to insiderscores.com, which calculates such data, Schwab shares were lower six months after a Pottruck sale 18 of the 24 times he sold.
