CFP Board appoints exam czar

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards named Julie T. Heil as director of examinations.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc., the regulatory body overseeing the 56,000 professionals holding Certified Financial Planner certification, has named Julie T. Heil as director of examinations, effective January 1, 2008.
Ms. Heil will be responsible for the development of the CFP Certification Examination, which is required for an adviser to obtain the CFP certification.
Prior to joining the CFP Board, Ms. Heil worked at the American Institutes for Research in Washington with the Ohio Department of Education, overseeing the development of content for in reading, writing, science, social studies and mathematics that were administrated to students between Kindergarten and eighth grade.
Ms. Heil also worked at the Chauncey Group International of Princeton, N.J., where she was the senior test developer for the certification examinations for CFP Board as well as other organizations.
