Ex-Bear CEO mulls next move at Rothschild
Alan Schwartz, who is based in N M Rothschild's New York office, is considering several job opportunities, including working at another investment bank or private-equity firm, according to the paper.
The former chief executive of The Bear Stearns Cos. Inc. of New York has temporarily set up shop in the offices of NM Rothschild & Sons Ltd. of London, according to the New York Post.
Alan Schwartz, who is based in Rothschild’s New York office, is considering several job opportunities, including working at another investment bank or private-equity firm, according to the paper.
There are also reports that Mr. Schwartz is considering launching a mergers and acquisitions advisory team at Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. LP of New York.
Mr. Schwartz’s long-time associate, Richard Metric, who was formerly a Bear senior managing director, has also taken an office at Rothschild.
Mr. Schwartz took over from former Bear CEO Jimmy Cayne in January, three months before Bear was acquired by JPMorgan Chase & Co. of New York. (Investment News, Jan. 8) .
