Genworth awards have artist’s touch

These awards just might be keepers.

These awards just might be keepers.

Genworth Financial Investment Services Inc. has commissioned an artist to create original awards for each of the 129 representatives who will receive performance citations tonight.

Genworth Financial Investment Services’ 10th annual national conference in Las Vegas will receive a lapis-blue-colored disc created and signed by Robert Lee Fritz, a Lombard, Ill., artist who specializes in hand-blown glass.

The award will sit atop a wood stand that is engraved with the adviser’s name and the type of award won.

The disc’s design is based on Genworth’s blue compass logo.

“I chose lapis blue because it is one of my favorite colors, while also being similar in intensity to the Genworth Financial blue,” Mr. Fritz wrote in an e-mail.

Each disc features a spiral leading into the center as well as bubbles.

According to Genworth officials, the swirling bubbles mimic the design of the compass and also symbolize movement and progress.

Genworth Financial Investment Services is a subsidiary of Richmond, Va.-based Genworth Financial Inc.
