* AIG SunAmerica Inc. of Los Angeles has promoted Lisa S. Kubica to executive vice president and chief…

* AIG SunAmerica Inc. of Los Angeles has promoted Lisa S. Kubica to executive vice president and chief operations officer of three broker-dealers in the AIG SunAmerica Financial Network Inc.: SunAmerica Securities Inc. of Phoenix, and Sentra Securities Corp. and Spelman & Co. Inc., both of San Diego. Ms. Kubica, 38, started her career at Anchor National Financial Services, the predecessor to SunAmerica Securities, and most recently was senior vice president of operations and trading.

* Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc. of New York has appointed Mario Paredes head of the Hispanic market for the company’s multicultural-and-diversified-business-development group. Mr. Paredes, 52, will manage Merrill’s strategy for expanding services in the U.S. Hispanic marketplace, working closely with Hispanic financial advisers. Mr. Paredes, who will be based in Hopewell, N.J., comes to Merrill from the Northeast Hispanic Catholic Center in New York, where he served as director for 25 years.

* LJH Global Investments LLC of Naples, Fla., has appointed John P. Driscoll chief strategy officer. Mr. Driscoll, 43, joined the firm this year as chairman of the advisory board, assisting the president on matters related to strategic partnerships and acquisitions.

His expanded duties include directing the company’s marketing, sales and corporate development activities.

Mr. Driscoll previously was chairman and chief restructuring officer of Yclip Corp. of Austin, Texas, which was sold to First Data Corp.

* William Blair & Co. LLC of Chicago has hired Christopher T. Vincent as head of its fixed-income group within the investment management services department. He will work with the fixed-income team on the William Blair Income Fund as well as the separate-account business. Mr. Vincent, 45, previously was a managing director and senior fixed-income portfolio manager with Zurich Scudder Investments Inc. of New York.

* Jefferies & Co. Inc. of New York has hired two new directors. Raymond J. Minella has been named director of capital markets origination for the investment bank and institutional securities firm. Previously, Mr. Minella, 52, was chairman of Berenson Minella & Co., a Wall Street investment bank that he co-founded in 1990. Jefferies has named Gregg H. Feinstein director of mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Feinstein, 40, most recently was chief operating officer and managing director at Berenson Minella, of which he had been a principal since 1992.

* AM&M Investment Brokers Inc. of Rochester, N.Y., has appointed F. Stephen Wershing Jr. director of broker-dealer services. Before joining AM&M, Mr. Wershing, 42, was chief operating officer of Rochester-based Wall Street Financial Group.

* Bank of America Corp. of Charlotte, N.C., has appointed Doug Hutt head of private-banking and private-client services for the Dallas-Fort Worth market. The new structure, similar to the one the company recently introduced in New York, is part of an effort to integrate investment, credit, risk management and trust services to rich clients. Mr. Hutt, 45, who will continue to serve as the Bank of America president in Dallas, most recently was a managing director of corporate banking for New York-based Banc of America Securities LLC.

* Securities America Financial Corp. of Omaha, Neb., a subsidiary of Minneapolis-based American Express Financial Advisors Inc., has appointed Kimberly Rollins to its branch-office-development staff. She will be responsible for developing a national branch-expansion program. Ms. Rollins, 33, previously was a recruiter for SunAmerica Securities Inc. of Phoenix.

* Bear Stearns & Co. Inc. of New York has brought in Rob Sandrew as an associate director for Bear Stearns Advisor Services, a division of Bear Stearns Global Clearing Services. Mr. Sandrew, 31, previously was vice president of institutional brokerage sales for Boston Institutional Services. He will continue to work in Boston.

* Hudson United Bank of Mahwah, N.J., has appointed James N. Donaldson senior vice president and regional manager of its Westport, Conn., office, where he will be responsible for trust and investment services in the New York and Connecticut region. Mr. Donaldson, 61, previously was a vice president at JPMorgan Private Bank in New York.

* National Independent Trust Co. of Ruston, La., has named Kenneth Rains, 52, senior trust executive.

Mr. Rains was trust division head for Hibernia National Bank of New Orleans.

* Mutual Service Corp. of West Palm Beach, Fla., has hired John Maggiacomo as a new-business-development senior consultant. Mr. Maggiacomo, 30, previously was the South Florida regional vice president for CDC IXIS North America Distributors LLC of Boston.

* Ohio National Financial Services of Cincinnati has promoted Barbara Turner, 39, to president and chief operating officer of The Ohio National Equity Sales Co., its full-service retail broker-dealer, from vice president and chief operating officer. Before joining Ohio National in 1997, Ms. Turner was operations and trading manager at Reynolds DeWitt Securities Co. of Cincinnati.

* UBS Warburg LLC of Stamford, Conn., has hired David Bianco as head of its U.S. valuation and accounting research group. The move comes as part of UBS Warburg’s expansion of that team. Mr. Bianco, 27, previously was based in New York as chief U.S. quantitative strategist for Deutsche Bank AG.
