Deloitte & Touche LLP in Boston has hired Paul T. Kraft, 33, Thomas J. Driscoll, 38, and Thomas E. Alberto, 51, as partners in Boston, Chicago and New York, respectively.

Mr. Kraft had been assistant chief accountant for the division of investment management at the Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington.

Most recently, Mr. Driscoll assisted in developing portfolio strategies and investment products for investment management firms.

Mr. Alberto had been a partner at another Big Five firm.

Meg Green & Associates in Miami has named Todd Battaglia, 35, executive vice president of investment management. He had worked as director of sales and marketing for McDonald Investments in Rochester, N.Y.

Asset Alliance Corp., an investment management holding company in New York, has named David D. Henritze, 47, vice president of institutional products. He had served as managing director of Greystone Capital Group LLC in Atlanta.

Ashbridge Investment Management Inc. in Philadelphia has named Donald R. Browne, 53, senior vice president. He had been vice president and senior private banker in New York for BankAmerica Corp.

Liberty Financial Cos. Inc. in Boston has named Robert L. Spadafora, 53, president to succeed the retiring Denis Kaplan, 55. Mr. Spadafora had been executive vice president for marketing at Independent Financial Marketing Group, a business unit of Liberty in Purchase, N.Y.

The Blackstone Group in New York has named Robert L. Friedman, 55, senior managing director. He had been a senior partner of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in New York. In addition, Richard C. Lappin, 54, was appointed senior managing director. Most recently he was president and chief operating officer of Fruit of the Loom Inc. in Chicago.

Marsh & McLennan Capital Inc., the principal insurance investment subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan Cos. Inc. in New York, has named Meryl D. Hartzband, 44, principal and investment director. She had been a managing director at J.P. Morgan & Co. Inc. in New York.

Gabelli Funds Inc. in Rye, N.Y., has named Raffaele Pisacane vice president and chief technology officer. He was the architect and lead developer of Standard & Poor’s personal wealth Internet site.

Security Benefit Group in Topeka, Kan., has promoted Greg Garvin, 42, to senior vice president of sales and distribution. He had been vice president of sales and distribution.

Bank of Bermuda Ltd. in Hamilton has appointed Fred T. Busk III, 32, president and chief executive officer. He succeeds Edgar C. Felton, 65, who will retire on March 31. Mr. Busk has been general manager and board member of Bank of Bermuda New York, a subsidiary. After his retirement, Mr. Felton will continue as chairman of the New York unit and advise the parent company.

Sterling Financial Group in Manhasset, N.Y., has appointed Stuart Jones, 38, vice president of acquisitions. He had been senior manager for the E&Y Kenneth Leventhal Real Estate Group of Ernst & Young LLP in New York.

ABN Amro Asset Management in Chicago has appointed Michael Wasson, 41, senior vice president and regional director of sales and client service, based in Los Angeles. He had a similar job at BankAmerica Corp in San Francisco.
