First Montauk Financial Corp. in Red Bank, N.J., has appointed Seth Rosen, 45, president of Century Discount Securities, a division of First Montauk Securities Corp. Most recently, he was a founding managing director of National Discount Brokers in New York.

Zurich Kemper Life in Long Grove, Ill., has named Greg Smith, 37, senior vice president and head of retail distribution for the company’s financial strategic business unit. Mr. Smith served as vice president and director of sales for Glenbrook Life, a wholly owned subsidiary of Allstate Corp. in Northbrook, Ill.

U.S. Bancorp Piper Jaffray Inc. in Minneapolis has named Joseph D. Fleming, 34, and Michael Deede, 44, co-directors of compliance. Mr. Fleming will head the individual investor services area and Mr. Deede is responsible for the equity capital markets and fixed-income capital markets division. Most recently, Mr. Fleming was general counsel and senior vice president of compliance at Dougherty Summit Securities LLP in Minneapolis, while Mr. Deede had served as director of internal audit at Piper Jaffray.

Sum News, a bimonthly publication of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants in Boston, has named John P. Napolitano a contributing editor. Mr. Napolitano, 42, is chairman of U.S. Financial Advisors LLC in Braintree, Mass.

Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin in Los Angeles has named Richard A. Entin, 37, vice president. He had worked in a similar job at Ernst & Young LLP’s E&Y Kenneth Leventhal Real Estate Group in Los Angeles. In addition, Paul R. Mallarkey, 48, has been appointed senior vice president in the Washington office. Most recently, he was partner and technical director at BDO Siedman in New York.

Boston Financial in Boston has appointed two new vice presidents in its strategic risk division. Heidi Anne Scheller, 44, will lead casualty account management activities. She had been senior vice president of insurance brokerage Willis Corroon Corp., also in Boston. Paul Foye, 33, will work with the strategic risk and insurance services team. Most recently, he was senior vice president at Aon Risk Services in Chicago.

Rothstein Investment Advisory Services Inc. in Fairfax, Va., has named Peter Manchester, 58, managing director. He had a similar job at Mobil Corp., also in Fairfax.

Cantor Fitzgerald LP in New York has named Jim Martello, 39, senior Nasdaq market maker and Bojan Kostic, 33, senior sales trader. Mr. Martello was co-manager of Bear Stearns Cos.’ Nasdaq trading desk. Mr. Kostic worked in institutional equity sales at Troster Singer/Spear Leeds Kellogg in New York.

Financial Accounting Foundation in Norwalk, Conn., has reappointed Paul R. Reilly, 62, to a five-year term on its board, effective July 1, and appointed Edward Trott, 54, a partner of KPMG Peat Marwick LLP in New York. Mr. Reilly is a lecturer at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Mr. Trott replaces Joseph V. Anania.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Examiners in Newport Beach, Calif., has elected Laura Tarbox, 41, to a two-year term. Ms. Tarbox is principal of Tarbox Equity Inc. in Newport Beach.

Pacific Corporate Group in La Jolla, Calif., has named Scott L. Stedman, 37, vice president. He had been a managing director at the Seattle-based investment banking group of U.S. Bancorp.

A.T. Kearney Executive Search in Stamford, Conn., has appointed Irene Latino, 46, as vice president. Ms. Latino had been a managing director at J. Dinerstein & Co. in New York.

Foundation for Financial Planning, the educational and grant-making body of the International Association for Financial Planning in Atlanta, has appointed Dale E. Brown, 37, as executive director.

Mr. Brown serves the association as well as its associate executive director.

Aberdeen Fund Managers Inc., a subsidiary of Aberdeen Asset Management PLC in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., has appointed Linda Cartusciello, 28, marketing manager. She worked in a similar capacity at British Petroleum in Caracas, Venezuela.
