Patton shifts from ING board to Janus

Janus Capital Group Inc. has appointed ING board member Jock Patton to its board of directors, replacing Jim Craig, who is retiring from the board.

Janus Capital Group Inc. has appointed ING board member Jock Patton to its board of directors, replacing Jim Craig, who is retiring from the board.
Both changes were effective March 12, Janus said in a statement.
Mr. Patton plans to step down from ING’s board by June 30, according to a statement issued by Janus.
Mr. Patton is currently the chairman of Phoenix-based Swift Transportation Co. Inc. and director of JDA Software Group Inc.
He also spent six years at StockVal Inc. as a registered investment adviser and provider of proprietary data, security analysis and valuation modeling software to major money managers and brokerage firms worldwide.
Mr. Craig started with Janus in 1983 and served as a portfolio manager before becoming its director of research.
He finished his full-time career at Janus in 2000 as its chief investment officer.
Denver-based Janus managed approximately $167.7 billion in assets as of Dec. 31.
