PrimeVest Financial Services Inc. has hired Bob Summa, 52, as senior vice president of business development.
His responsibilities include developing relationships with financial institutions based on the Eastern Sea-board.
Previously, Mr. Summa served as national sales manager and senior vice president of managed programs at Independent Financial Marketing Group Inc. and its parent, LPL Financial.

KBS Realty Advisors LLC has hired Richard Gann, 39, and Michael Zapata, 47, as vice president of marketing and compliance officer, respectively.
Mr. Gann will oversee all strategic-marketing functions for KBS’ real estate investment trust distribution, including campaign development and sales support initiatives. He will work with KBS REIT II, as well as KBS Strategic Opportunity REIT and KBS Legacy Partners Apartment REIT.
Previously, Mr. Gann served as the senior vice president at Grubb & Ellis Co., where he supervised the broker sales training program for the entire company and managed a sales force of more than 50 registered securities representatives around the country.
Mr. Zapata will oversee day-to-day compliance activities associated with KBS REIT II, as well as KBS Strategic Opportunity REIT and KBS Legacy Partners Apartment REIT. He will be responsible for meeting all the company’s securities regulatory requirements established by the Securities and Exchange Commission and Financial Industry Regulatory Authority Inc.
Previously, Mr. Zapata served as compliance examiner at WaMu Investments Inc., where he managed the compliance responsibilities of five regions, instilled a corporate culture of compliance and implemented compliance training for WaMu Investments financial professionals.

ETFS Marketing LLC has hired Darren Fortunato, 44, as senior vice president of U.S. product development for ETF securities.
He is responsible for bringing new products to the U.S. market.
Previously, Mr. Fortunato served as director of al¬ternative investments and finan-
cial products at Merrill Lynch
& Co. Inc., where he was responsible for developing specialized alternative-investment products.

Black Diamond Performance Reporting has hired Karen Lisowski, 37, as vice president of sales. She will oversee client relationships and business development in the western United States.
Previously, Ms. Lisowski was vice president of retirement plan sales and relationship management in the registered investment adviser channel for Fidelity Investments.

The Investment Management Consultants Association has hired Ian MacKenzie, 53, as deputy executive director of operations.
He will oversee IMCA’s marketing and communications initiatives,
conferences, educational offerings and publications.
Previously, Mr. MacKenzie was chief marketing officer and managing director of business development for the Financial Planning Association, where he oversaw publications, sales, marketing, research, strategic alliances, meetings and events, online learning and institutional membership.

Penn Mutual Life Insurance Co. has promoted Eileen McDonnell, 47, to president, and David M. O’Malley, 35, to executive vice president and chief financial officer.
Ms. McDonnell will lead the day-to-day operations of Penn Mutual and will be the first female president in the company’s 163-year old history. Previously, she was executive vice president and chief marketing officer at Penn Mutual.
Mr. O’Malley is responsible for managing the company’s financial operations. Previously, he served as executive vice president and oversaw product management, technology, producer and client services, the project management office, and underwriting and new business.
