RBC Capital Markets appoints execs

Russell Jones is head of Fixed Income & Currencies Global Research and Adam Cole is head of Global FX Strategy Research.

RBC Capital Markets, the corporate and investment banking arm of Royal Bank of Canada, today announced the appointment of Russell Jones as Head of Fixed Income & Currencies Global Research and Adam Cole as Head of Global FX Strategy Research.
Russell, who will be based in RBC Capital Markets’ London office, will report to Bill Moriarty, Head of Global Research, and Craig Wright, Chief Economist.
Adam Cole, Ian Beauchamp, Head of Global Rates Strategy, and Nick Chamie, Head of Emerging Markets Research, will report to Russell.
Russell joins RBC Capital Markets from Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, where he was Senior Economist.
Prior to that, Russell spent nine years at Lehman Brothers (five years in Japan), where he was Chief International Economist and Head of FX Research.
Before that, Russell held senior Economist positions at UBS, Drexel Burnham Lambert, Hoare Govett and HSBC.

Adam Cole joined RBC Capital Markets in 2004 and since that time has been Senior Currency Strategist focused on the G10 economies.
Previously Adam spent more that 13 years as a senior economist and senior currency strategist with HSBC Investment Bank and Credit Agricole Indosuez. Adam is also based in London.
