RBC names co-presidents

RBC Capital Markets of Toronto tapped Doug McGregor and Mark Standish as its new co-presidents.
They will report to Chuck Winograd, who will remain as chief executive of RBC capital markets.
Mr. McGregor and Mr. Standish will be responsible for chairing the operating committee in its oversight of day-to-day operations globally.
Mr. McGregor, who is based in Toronto, will remain responsible for RBC Capital Markets’ global activities in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and equity sales and trading.
He also heads the North American real estate brokerage, financing, capital markets and advisory business.
Prior to his current post, he was at Marcil Trust and became a managing director when it was acquired by RBC in 1990.
Mr. Standish, who will be based in New York, will remain responsible for the bank’s global activities in debt markets, financial products, proprietary trading, alternative investments, foreign exchange, commodities, prime brokerage services and funding.
Prior to joining RBC, he was a managing director at Kidder Peabody & Co.
RBC recently acquired Denver-based Daniels & Associates and New York-based Carlin Financial Group, added a U.S.-based commercial mortgage backed securities team to its North American real estate platform and entered the 24-hour futures trading business.
