Standards board names five appointees

The Certified Financial Planning Board of Standards Inc. of Washington has appointed five new members to its disciplinary and ethics committee.

Daniel B. Moisand will serve as the board’s chairman, and will be joined by V. Raymond Ferrara, James M. Knaus, Yvonne Dean and Michael Ross, all certified financial planners.
Mr. Moisand is a principal with Spraker Fitzgerald Tamayo & Moisand LLC of Melbourne, Fla.
Ms. Ferrara is president and chief executive officer of ProVise Management Group LLC of Clearwater, Fla. Mr. Knaus is co-founder of Global Wealth Advisors LLC of Troy, Mich. Ms. Dean is launch manager for the Houston-based Texas regional financial office of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, and Mr. Ross is founder and chief executive officer of The Connection Group of Plainview, N.Y.
