The SPARK Institute formed a task force to assess administrative and record-keeping issues surrounding new regulations governing 403(b) plans, said Jeff Close, spokesman.
The group comprises 18 record keepers and investment providers that serve the market for the defined contribution plans sponsored by school systems and hospitals.
SPARK will address issues that include written plan document requirements, new transfer and exchange restrictions and treatment of prior provider contracts and coordination of multiple providers.
The SPARK Institute provides research, education and testimony on pending legislative and regulatory issues.
