Wachovia names Bear vet fixed-income head
Wachovia Securities LLC of St. Louis has added Craig Overlander as managing director and global head of fixed income.

Mr. Overlander, who will start Sept. 15, will report to Ben Williams, head of global markets and investment banking, and will be based in Charlotte, N.C., and New York.
Mr. Overlander replaces Curtis Arledge.
A 26-year veteran at The Bear Stearns Cos. Inc. of New York, Mr. Overlander was recently the managing director and co-head of fixed income at the now-defunct investment bank.
He was also closely involved in handling the firm’s transition after JPMorgan Chase & Co. of New York acquired it.
Mr. Overlander’s addition is the second such change at Wachovia, this week.
On Wednesday, the firm appointed Tom McManus chief investment officer and director of Wachovia Securities’ advisory services group, replacing Michael Jones.
Mr. McManus joins the firm from Banc of America Securities LLC in New York, where he was managing director and chief investment strategist.
