Peter Shunyia, who managed $150 million at Merrill Lynch in Troy, Michigan, has gone independent and affiliated with LPL Financial.

His practice, Shunyia & Co. Private Wealth Advisors, affiliated through America Group Retirement Strategy Centers, an LPL super office of supervisory jurisdiction.

Shunyia was with Merrill Lynch for 10 years and with Morgan Stanley and predecessor firms for four years before that.
