Kingsview Partners expands on Texas Panhandle with $600M Edward Jones advisors

A family of three advisors has joined the firm, its second expansion in the region in the past two months at the expense of Edward Jones.

Kingsview Partners has enticed advisors from Edward Jones to open two new offices on the Texas Panhandle in the past two months.

The latest to make the move are a family of advisors who managed approximately $470 million in client assets at their previous firm.

Kent Bowen, Ashby Dawson and Trevin Bowen have opened their new office with Kingsview in Amarillo, Texas. Kent is father to Ashby and Trevin and has 24 years of experience in the industry.

Kent Bowen’s focus is very successful individuals, business owners, and professionals who have a work-optional lifestyle and he has a three-step process to identify the current position of prospective clients.

“First, if we do a review and you’re already working with another financial advisor who is doing a great job, I might recommend you stay put,” he explained. “Second, if we identify some gaps in your situation that demonstrate that we are a good fit for each other, I might invite you to be part of our family of clients. Third, if I think you need a change, but I’m not the right fit for your situation, I would personally recommend a financial advisor who I believe might be.”

Ashby Dawson and Trevin Bowen have 15 and 5 years of experience in the wealth management industry, respectively.

SECOND TIME AROUND

Kingsview has also opened an office in the region with another former Edward Jones advisor who is enjoying his second career path.

Keith Demetriades was a naval aviator in the U.S. Navy for 24 years, leveraging his college education in engineering. Along the way he noticed how others struggled with their finances, even when they have significant incomes.

This was especially pertinent for him as his mother had always told him that “it’s not what you make, it’s what you keep.”

Joining Edward Jones was his second career path and led to his managing around $230 million in assets for clients.

His approach is to help clients understand the ‘why’ in their financial decisions.

“Helping clients become good stewards of their resources allows them to reach their goals, plus increase their generosity towards others,” he said. “It’s rewarding knowing my work helps not only the client in my office, but also those they care deeply about and want to provide for.”

Demetriades’ office with Kingsview is in Pampa, Texas.
