Great-West Retirement Services of Greenwood Village, Colo., has hired Sam Ghazaleh, 45, as vice president of retirement solutions for its individual retirement account strategy

Great-West Retirement Services of Greenwood Village, Colo., has hired Sam Ghazaleh, 45, as vice president of retirement solutions for its individual retirement account strategy.

Mr. Ghazaleh, who splits his time between Great-West operations in Boston and Denver, oversees the company’s enhanced-retirement-planning and distribution efforts.

Previously, he was a senior vice president at Fidelity Investments of Boston.

Fidelity Investments of Boston has promoted Derek L. Young, 46, to president of the company’s asset allocation division.

He leads a team that foc-uses on providing Fidelity’s institutional, intermediary and retail clients with multiasset-class and custom solutions.

Previously, Mr. Young was chief investment officer of Fidelity’s global asset allocation group.

Concert Global Inc. of San Jose, Calif., has hired James P. Lynch, 45, as president of its wealth management division.

Based in Chicago, he is responsible for recruiting and managing relationships with breakaway brokers and registered investment advisers who want to set up their own practices as fiduciaries .

Previously, Mr. Lynch was a senior vice president at Advanced Equities Inc. in Chicago.

Reynders McVeigh Capital Management LLC of Boston has hired Lindsey W. Parker, 43, as vice president and portfolio manager.

Previously, she was a trustee and partner at Loring Wolcott & Coolidge Office of Boston, where she worked with socially conscious investing clients to build the firm’s sustainability group.

Edelman Financial Services LLC of Fairfax, Va., has hired Joe Bottazzi, 53, as executive vice president of business development.

Based in Saddle Brook, N.J., he is responsible for development and expansion of the firm’s activities in a variety of areas, including 401(k) plans, Section 529 college savings plans, and coaching services for financial advisers.

Previously, Mr. Bottazzi was the senior vice president of Americas technology services business in New York for Hewlett-Packard Co. of Palo Alto, Calif.

Genworth Financial Asset Management Inc. of Pleasant Hill, Calif., has hired Sean Curley, 47, as a senior vice president and product specialist.

Based in Encino, Calif., he is responsible for helping financial advisers understand the philosophy of the firm’s investment team. Mr. Curley will communicate the strategies and tactics of the investment management department to key internal and external business audiences.

Previously, Mr. Curley was a portfolio specialist in Los Angeles for Hartford Investment Management Co.

Cetera Financial Group Inc. of El Segundo, Calif., has hired Gene Goldman, 41, as vice president and head of research.

Based in Los Angeles, he is responsible for all internal and third-party research products, offering investment solutions to help financial advisers expand their client relations and build upon the firm’s adviser-focused capabilities.

Previously, Mr. Goldman was vice president and market strategist at LPL Financial LLC of Boston, where he was responsible for articulating the research department’s financial market projections, investment philosophies and strategies to advisers and their clients.

Octavus Group LLC of Minneapolis has hired Greg Shannahan, 51, as national sales manager.

Based in Mendham, N.J., he will manage the firm’s distribution efforts and alternative investments through a national network of financial firms and advisers.

Previously, Mr. Shannahan was top divisional director at AllianceBernstein LP of New York.

Cornerstone Wealth Management LLC of Des Peres, Mo., has hired Alan Skrainka, 50, as chief investment officer.

He will lead investment research and guide the company’s investment philosophy to help clients achievelong-term financial goals.

Mr. Skrainka also will be res- ponsible for managing Commonwealth’s model wealth portfolios.

Previously, he was chief market strategist for Edward Jones of St. Louis.

Direxion Funds of Newton, Mass., has hired Edward Egilinsky, 42, as managing director and head of alternative investments.

Based in New York, he will direct the firm’s product development initiatives, internal and external messaging, training and support of product delivery. He will play an integral role in developing and distri-buting products as part of the firm’s commitment to expanding alternative strategies.

Previously, Mr. Egilinksy was managing director at Price Asset Management Inc. of New York, where he helped lead product distribution, sales and new product initiatives.

Leonard & Co. Inc. of Troy, Mich., has hired Peter Frawley, 36, as a financial consultant and vice president of investments.

Previously, he was a financial consultant in Birmingham, Mich., with Robert W. Baird & Co. Inc. of Milwaukee.

HedgeMark International LLC of Santa Monica, Calif., has named Richard F. Brueckner, 62, non-executive chairman.

Based in Jersey City, N.J., Mr. Brueckner is a senior executive vice president and member of the executive committee of BNY Mellon Corp. of New York and chairman of Pershing LLC of Jersey City.

He will work with the board and HedgeMark’s management to establish best practices and ensure proper integration with relevant BNY Mellon and Pershing operating groups.

BNY Mellon, through its Pershing affiliate, is a significant shareholder in HedgeMark.

Mr. Brueckner was Pershing’s chief executive from 2001 to 2010.

PFM Asset Management LLC of Harrisburg, Pa., has named Jim Link, 48, to the newly created position of chief marketing officer, and Ken Schiebel, 51, head of the portfolio strategies group. Both men are managing directors of the firm.

Based in Philadelphia, Mr. Link is responsible for helping the firm offer clients and prospects a full range of services. As managing director, he has led the product development, product sales, benefits and investment consulting, and client service.

Mr. Schiebel is responsible for supporting the firm’s fixed-income portfolio management and marketing efforts with research and analysis, and providing additional resources for clients of all sizes. As managing director, he led a team of portfolio managers, traders and research staff members responsible for managing the firm’s separate-account fixed-income business.

Steben & Co. Inc. of Rockville, Md., has hired John Dolfin, 38, as director of research in its research and risk management group.

Previously, Mr. Dolfin was managing director at Liquid Strategies Group of Safanad Inc. of New York.

White Oaks Wealth Advisors Inc. and Intrinzia Family Office of Minneapolis, has promoted Cyndi Castle, 47, to vice president of family office services.

She manages family office client services relationships and communications, and specializes in providing investment oversight services.

Previously, she was director of client services for Intrinzia Family Office, which was acquired by White Oaks in January.

Morningstar Inc. of Chicago has named William Harding, 37, head of manager research for the firm’s investment management division.

He is responsible for promoting best practices in investment manager research and selection.

Previously, Mr. Harding was director of research for Morningstar Investment Services, a registered investment adviser within the Morningstar Investment Management division in Chicago.
