Bernanke’s no-frills portfolio disclosed

The Fed chief's holdings include U.S. Treasury securities, Canadian Treasury bonds, mutual funds and annuities.

Federal Reserve chairman Ben S. Bernanke maintains a conservative portfolio, according to his yearly financial disclosure form.
Mr. Bernanke’s holdings include U.S. Treasury securities, Canadian Treasury bonds, mutual funds and annuities, the Associated Press reported.
Formerly a professor at Princeton University in New Jersey, Mr. Bernanke is receiving between $50,001 and $100,000 in annual royalties for each of the two textbooks that he authored — the largest slice of his income after his Federal Reserve salary.
Mr. Bernanke’s salary was $186,000 last year and it will increase to $191,300 this year.
His largest assets were two annuities — TIAA Traditional and CREF Stock Large Cap Blend — each of which were valued at between $500,001 and $1 million.
Mr. Bernanke did not report any liabilities, gifts or travel expenses.
He listed no individual stocks or corporate bonds among his holdings last year.
