Frances turns the tea tables
In “A Bargain for Frances” (2003, Harper Collins) by Lillian and then-husband Russell Hoban, Frances, the irrepressible badger, learns a “buyer beware” lesson when a dubious friend snatches away a coveted tea set that Frances has been saving for. In the end, the friends reconcile, tea is served and Frances is a savvier consumer.
