Adviser managing $275 million at Ameriprise goes indie through LPL

Orlando, Fla.-based adviser affiliates with B-D and uses RIA platform.

Mike Bensey, who managed $275 million as an employee adviser at Ameriprise in Orlando, Fla., has gone independent using the support services of Good Life Companies. As with Good Life’s other affiliated registered representatives, he is using LPL Financial’s broker-dealer and corporate registered investment adviser platforms.

Mr. Bensey has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, and will be joined by his son Drew Bensey and son-in-law Daniel Thornton, who are focused on marketing and client services support as they work toward becoming licensed.
