Susan F. Axelrod has been named executive vice president and head of member regulation-sales practice for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority Inc.
She succeeds Robert C. Errico, who retired last month, Finra announced yesterday.
Ms. Axelrod was previously senior vice president of regulatory operations at Finra.
Finra’s member-regulation consists of two major areas: sales practice and risk oversight. It is also responsible for Finra’s district exam program.

Ms. Vogel, an New York Stock Exchange veteran, and Mr. Errico split the member regulation chore following the 2007 merger of the NYSE’s regulatory unit and Finra’s predecessor organization, the NASD.
