Bank of New York Mellon, fresh off of one of the largest mergers in the banking and wealth management industries, is now back on the prowl for more acquisitions, according to published reports.

Bank of New York Mellon, fresh off of one of the largest mergers in the banking and wealth management industries, is now back on the prowl for more acquisitions, according to published reports.

The New York-based company will be evaluating acquisitions in the wealth management space both in the U.S. and overseas, said David Lamere, BNY Mellon’s CEO said at Reuters conference in Boston yesterday.

“We are beginning to look again,” Mr. Lamere was quoted as saying by Reuters. “There’s an opportunity for us.”
