MFS names national sales manager for fund distribution unit

MFS Investment Management of Boston has named Douglas Bailey as national sales manager for its mutual fund distribution unit, MFS Fund Distributors Inc.

MFS Investment Management of Boston has named Douglas Bailey as national sales manager for its mutual fund distribution unit, MFS Fund Distributors Inc.

He will report to James Jessee, president of that unit.

Mr. Bailey joined the firm in 1985 as a dealer service representative and served in several senior positions before becoming senior divisional director in 1999.

He replaces Jac McLean, who left the firm to pursue other opportunities, MFS spokesman Dan Flaherty said.

MFS managed $134 billion in assets as of Dec. 31.
