The deadline for commenting on the SEC’s interim rule governing principal trades is approaching. The public has until Nov. 30 to submit comment on the temporary fix, which allows dually registered broker and investment advisers to fill customer orders from their own inventory if certain requirements are met. The rule will expire Dec. 31, 2009. For a look at the interim rule and information on submitting comment, visit sec.gov/rules/final/2007/ia-2653.pdf.
