LPL adds California team managing $150 million

David Meagher, Chris Bradford and Stina Bradford

The Sacramento-based firm, Bradford Capital Group, was previously affiliated with Securities America.

A team of advisors who oversaw roughly $150 million in client assets at Securities America, a unit of Osaic, joined LPL Financial’s broker-dealer, RIA and custodial platforms, the firm announced Thursday.

Sacramento, California-based Bradford Capital Group includes Chris Bradford, its founder and managing director, along with Dave Meagher and operations manager Stina Bradford.

According to his BrokerCheck report, Bradford has 21 years of experience, having started at Edward Jones in 2002; he had been affiliated with Securities America since 2020. Prior to becoming an advisor, Bradford was football coach at the University of California, Davis.

Meagher began working with Bradford earlier this year after starting several software companies.

The team began considering a move after shifting its focus to working with business owners on exit strategies and with high-net-worth families.

“By moving to LPL, we have access to an exclusive set of sophisticated services in the high-net-worth space that will enable us to offer exceptional service to clients as they build wealth and transfer it to the next generation,” Meagher said in a statement. “We appreciate that LPL gives us more flexibility and HNW options such as trust planning and concentrated wealth management, along with access to a team of specialists who support the complex issues of estate planning for HNW families.”
