Merrill adviser overseeing $350M moves to UBS

Matt Burton will join the firm’s Indianapolis office.

An advisor who was managing $350 million of client assets at Merrill Lynch has affiliated with UBS Wealth Management, the firm announced Friday.

Matt Burton will join UBS as a managing director and financial advisor in the firm’s Indianapolis office. Client service associate Joanna Franz is also making the move.

Burton focuses on high-net-worth individuals and families and has clients in more than 20 states. 

According to his BrokerCheck report, Burton had worked at Merrill Lynch since 2011. Before becoming a financial advisor in 2001, he worked in jobs including investment banking.

“Matt brings extensive knowledge, experience and passion for helping clients navigate complex financial matters and achieve their wealth management goals,” Kristen Popovic, market director at UBS Wealth Management USA, said in a statement.
