Top holiday party ideas to spread cheer
Virtual wine and dine
Before the pandemic, most companies gathered together to share the holiday spirit with a firm-wide holiday party complete with great food and drinks.
To mimic a more traditional holiday tradition, Sacramento, California-based adviser Jeff Maas said his firm, Lincoln Financial Advisors Corp., is doing a virtual cooking class with its 35 person firm.
“Paella is the main course,” he said. “We mailed each staff member a gift card to the grocery store so they could purchase the ingredients. We've also done this as a client appreciation event.”
Additionally, the firm’s virtual holiday party will include some games and the Zoom breakout rooms feature to allow everyone to connect in small groups like they would at an in person holiday party.
Francis Financial, too, will be hosting a virtual wine tasting for clients, which include presentations from the winemakers from South Africa who call-in to the Zoom call to share more about their story and the history of the wines, according to Francis.
